Our Fight Against Sarcoptic Mange Naturally (Canine Scabies) 1

It's not the first time our house had a puppy with a Sarcoptic Mange, not also the first time we had lost a puppy (not just because of scabies, one also suffered from distemper). These puppies were not mine because I would never risks the dog's life if I can't take the responsibility of having these fur babies have their regular check-up, vaccination and all their medical needs. After the previous loss because of the owner's inability to provide their medical needs, I decided that I don't want to get attached anymore to any fur babies that will be residing here and hoping that the owner would stop if they can't be responsible because the loss were all really hard for me. But, nonetheless, I naturally love dogs and other animals.

So again, we have another fur baby here, at first I was really trying hard not to play with her or be fond of her but even if the loss were hard, getting attached to them is also really hard to resist.

Pi is a lil chubby and I suspect she had never seen a Veterinary clinic before. Here in Philippines. most of the times if you cannot identify the breed, it's Aspin (Asong Pinoy).  At first, we all thought it was just a dandruff but I got a hunch that it's something more. She was always scratching, itchy all over her body and she had white flakes on her body. Then I noticed how some part of her seems to lose her fur and the skin was pinkish or red. Then these days I started to get itchy too. The mosquitoes didn't help because I thought it was them to blame for my itchiness but I realized it's all over my body, and this was also the case of the previous fur baby. Since I also don't have the money to get her checked up and all, (if I do even if she's not mine I will) I researched for natural cure for this Scabies or Sarcoptic Mange.

From my research, I'm going to apply these:

  • Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline( 6 hours before the bath)
  • Bath:
    • Dishwashing liquid to wash off the Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline.
    • For Shampoo:
      • Borax or other shampoo or detergent that contain Disodium or Sodium Tetraborate./ baking soda
      • Vinegar.
  • Olive oil or essential oil after bath.
This might take a while and I may have to endure this itchiness for a while but if it works it will be worth it.
